I never imagined strangers passing through my city would end up at my table. But that's exactly what happens now — road-weary travelers pull off the highway, knock on my door, and for a couple of hours, the journey pauses. I offer them food, stories, and a glimpse of who we really are here. They leave refreshed. I leave reminded why this matters.
